Welcome spring @ Paal 91 Texel!
Spring - snowdrops - new fence - tips...welcome new season!
After a long dark winter, we now welcome with open arms spring!
Â
The first snowdrops have been spotted, international birdwatchers have come to the island to admire the unusual Spectacled Eider Duck (at the Iron Cape).
Â
We have having the whole garden fenced off with beautiful rural cattle fence - super nice for dogs and small children at Paal 91 Texel.
Â
We are ready for another season, even though there is still plenty to do and improve on the cottage.
Â
Tips for Texel in the quiet, fine early spring:
Â
- Cape North is open again 7 days a week. Conviviality within walking distance!
- Tip for vegetarians and vegans: Restaurant Witlof in Den Burg: super tasty and good!
- The lambs are born as of now (February), but remain in the stable due to the cold.
- Lovely walk through the dunes to the sea, with stunning views of sea and inland at the top of a huge high dune: park and walk from De Bleekersvallei (De Koog).
- Wellness at Boutique Hotel Texel (also for non-hotel guests): small but tremendously nice and close by!
- The cosiest restaurants where Texans like to eat and meet: The 12 Balcken and The Smulpot in Den Burg and 'T Cafeetje in Oosterend.
- And we could go on like this for a while :-). In short: the season starts again and we are looking forward to it: please join (us), and enjoy the island and our cottage Paal 91!
With friendly island greetings, Anne and Jet | Paal 91 Texel
