\n Bye Bye Beautiful Summer of 2025 <\/h1>\n

It was a wonderful summer on the island<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Dear readers,<\/p>

After a lovely spring and a bright summer with lots of sunshine and (thus) enjoying guests, it is now time for more peace and quiet and back to nature on the island. More wind, rain and clouds, but also the birds, rabbits, seals and the fine ruggedness of an island come to the fore again. The beach houses will be removed in a few weeks, and the jetty of The Friendship\/Wadden Ferry will be demolished.\u00a0<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Fun event in late September: Texel Culinary<\/b>, with serious competition between restaurants and, above all, lots of good food & drink in De Koog's Dorpsstraat. It has since grown into a bigger event for which people come to the island especially.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

But there is 1 more highlight in the autumn: Sinterklaas<\/b> has decided to arrive on Texel (nationwide) this year. Texel is proud of that, and already very busy making everything possible: TV crews, the Sinterklaasjournaal, the many children & parents coming to watch the entry, and so on: 15 November 2025 <\/b>will be a happening in Oudeschild harbour. Fun & great!<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

For Paal 91, we are very happy that we fenced the garden and the cleaning ran well (with our own effort). There were many dogs and children along, which is what Paal 91 is meant for: a real family home, even when there are 2 of you: and that happens often. The faithful quadruped<\/b> fully counts as a family member (and that's how it should be :-)): dog happy, owner happy. We are happy to contribute to Texel being a dog-friendly holiday destination.<\/p>

We wish you a beautiful late summer, autumn and winter...even at this time, Texel is and remains a beautiful island and Paal 91 a lovely holiday home.\u00a0<\/p>

Picture<\/b> this in the low season<\/strong>: fireplace burning, candles lit, brisk walks, seals on the beach and close by in the sea...the wind in your face...then warming up with a Beachcomber, playing games, watching a good film, reading a book or just catching up....that's what makes Paal 91 special (fine)!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

-The Secret - direction Jan Ayeslag, P in the forest - Forestry Commission<\/p>

-The Fonteinsnol and Krimbos: they are allowed to run free there nicely<\/p>

-Hiking at low tide: just a little more comfortable than ploughing through the sand along the tide line.<\/p>

-Post 28 - start against the wind, back with tailwind. Hot chocolate afterwards in the restaurant.\u00a0<\/p>

-The beach guard is gone again - dogs are allowed loose on the beach again (not in the dunes).\u00a0<\/p>

Dogs are welcome in almost all restaurants <\/b>- except those with an open kitchen (such as Paal 17 Beachclub and Bries20 in De Koog. At De Taveerne, the dog sometimes has to be tucked under the table: that's not so nice).<\/p>

-Dogs are particularly welcome at: Restaurant De Slufter & 'T Hanenhuus at the Golf Club - don't be put off by the golf club phenomenon: the restaurant is fun, spacious, approachable, affordable and tasty: do try it once. Nice terrace with a view. But your four-legged friend can also eat out elsewhere.<\/p>

-'T Hanenhuus op de Krim - golf club<\/p>

-Restaurant De Sluftervallei - quick cosy bite - friendly! Famous for its delicious soft-serve ice cream and Fish & chips: the batter is secret :-).\u00a0<\/p>

-Vegetarian\/vegan: WitLof in Den Burg: highly recommended!<\/p>

-Where Texelaars like to eat in Den Burg: Herberg De 12Balcken & De Smulpot (also has a heated terrace).<\/p>

-Takeaway Chinese: the best: Den Burg: snack bar BInnenburg - that's also where Texelaars take away.\u00a0<\/p>

-Italian - The Wrestling Tent - De Koog\u00a0<\/p>

-Kids: Pancake restaurant Catharinahoeve is almost a must \ud83d\ude09<\/p>

-Fine tasting: Oudeland in De Koog - super, lead the way<\/p>

-Fast hamburger dinner (with kids): Family in De Cocksdorp.<\/p>

-Famous for its Rasfriet & big beautiful woodland terrace: Turfveld in The Pines.<\/p>

-Beautiful and not too far away from Paal 91: Floris Restaurant in Hotel Prins Hendrik - nice contemporary and cosy restaurant.<\/p>
